Walk but don’t talk! China paints walking lanes for phone users

The pedestrian frustration of walking into a person too distracted by their own phone has led to decisive action on the streets of China.

Phone lanes have been painted on the ground to ensure people walk and talk appropriately on the pavement in Chongqing.

The unprecedented measure warns phone users to “walk in (the no-phone) lane at your own risk” in order to discourage people from concentrating on their smartphone screens while out and about in public.
