Chelsea are seven points clear at the top of the Premier League after a nervy 2-1 win over Stoke. Charlie Adam produced the moment of the match, if not the season, with a goal from inside his own half which drew Stoke level at the break.
Eden Hazard opened the scoring from the spot before Adam’s incredible equaliser made it 1-1. Diego Costa was brought on at the start of the second half to rescue the situation for Chelsea, but he soon limped off after aggravating his hamstring problem. Loic Remy then tapped in the winner for the Blues to keep them clear of Arsenal and Manchester United who both won earlier in the day.
