US will not interfere in Pakistan’s internal matter, US Ambassador Rchard Olson said.
LAHORE – American Ambassador to Pakistan, Richard Olson said on Sunday while addressing a literary gathering at AlHamra, Lahore that United States is not in the position to interfere in Pakistan’s internal affairs and despite consultations, it’s Pakistan’s own business to decide whether or not to negotiation with Taliban.
He said that America is assisting Pakistan government in every sector possible adding that the matter of peace and conflict also gets discussed.
Olson said that United States is already assisting Pakistan as much as possible adding that US believes in preserving world heritage and that it is evident that Pakistan’s cultural heritage has been damaged in terrorist activities. He said that US is helping Pakistan in restoration of the damaged cultural heritage and approximately 190 million dollars are being spent on teachers training programs.
He said that Lahore is the cultural capital of Pakistan and that funds for restoration of Shah Alam Gate, Sunehri Masjid, and Wazir Khan Masjid under cultural heritage revival program have already been issued.
