Eurasian Forum started 22-24 May in Almaty, Kazakhstan under the slogan, “15 Years of Evolution: How the World is changing and how the World changes us”. The themes that will be raised in the course of the event will concern both current and future media, as well as a wide range of global socio-political and environmental issues.
Dr Shahid Qureshi, British writer, academic and Chief Editor of The London Post specially participating in the event and arrived in Almaty, Kazakhstan. He attended last year’s event in Astana and specially covered the event. He said: ‘Kazakhstan is making its mark at the international stage’.
The main mission of the Eurasian Media Forum is to create conditions for a free and open dialogue of politicians, journalists and experts on key issues of geopolitical, economic, and socio-cultural development of Kazakhstan, Eurasia and the entire international community.
Throughout history of the Forum, more than 6,000 foreign participants have visited Kazakhstan, including politicians, economists, political scientists, Nobel laureates, public figures, scientists and entrepreneurs.
The scale and the international level of the event are an inherent part of the mission of integrating our country into the global information space – thanks to the work of the Forum, Kazakhstan gained fame in the international community at the level of key experts, world media, opinion leaders. Thus, the idea of holding the Forum found wide support among the leading international media – more than 1,500 representatives of the world’s authoritative media participated in the EAMF work, including Euronews, CNN, BBC, The Associated Press Television News, Forbes Kazakhstan, Esquire Kazakhstan, Reuters, Bloomberg, New York Times , Al Jazeera English, ITAR-TASS, RIA Novosti, RBC, Russia Today, First Channel, MA “Cihan” and others.
