The couple met in 2011 on the set of the Rum Diaries while Depp was still with partner of 14 years Paradis and started dating soon after he split from the French actress in June 2013. Despite never seeming that bothered about heading down the aisle, Depp and Amber became engaged last year, throwing a lavish party at the Carondelet House in downtown LA to celebrate.
According to Page Six, due to the limited accommodation on 45 acre island, which is only accessible by seaplane or boat, only a select few will be invited to the bash and will include Paradis, Depp’s two children Lily-Rose, 15 and Jack, 12 and close family members. A source told the paper the date isn’t that significant and was chosen because of their busy work schedules: “She’s filming a movie in London, and he’s getting ready to film the next ‘;Pirates of the Caribbean’ in Australia,”
“So this is the only time that everyone could get together.”
Insiders claim Amber, 29 has chosen a Stella McCartney dress for the intimate ceremony. Last November Depp gushed over his fiancee during an appearance on David Letterman, saying: “She’s a wonderful girl. She’s sharp as a tack. A southern belle and sweet as can be, and very good for me.”Let’s hope the big day will cheer Depp up, after his latest movie Mortdecai bombed at the Box Office, making it three straight flops for the actor. The couple have been jetting around the world this week to promote the movie, with Amber stuck to Depp’s side as he worked the red carpet in London and Japan.
The wedding comes a few weeks after it was claimed the duo weren’t doing so well. A source told E!News back in December that they “have extreme personalities and are both very intense people. Arguments are bound to arise,” Looks like they sorted things out then!
