(Media Report) : – H. E. Ms Tiina Intelmann, the Ambassador of Estonia in the UK is ready for the Christmas reception at Buckingham Palace tonight. It has become a tradition for the Ambassador to wear Estonia’s national clothing for the reception. This year she is wearing folk clothes that originate from Karja parish in Saaremaa.
What makes this traditional outfit special is the meaning behind each detail of the decorations. Every corner of Estonia has its own costume colour scheme and sequence of stripes used in the woven skirts. Today, you’ll only see Estonians in traditional outfits during special occasions…. like Her Majesty The Queen’s Reception.
