Dr Shahid Qureshi:-
General Qamar Bajwa (Army Chief) and Pakistan Armed Forces as institution should be honored with ‘world patience award’ in calmly dealing with Indian Raw infested politicians Nawaz Sharif family and others from Dawn leaks to ‘memo gate’ of Asif Zardari & Bhutto’s PIA plane hijackings to MQM’s following of Indian agenda of ‘Keep Karachi bleeding’. General Bajwa, enough is enough and silence is betrayal now and there is no space, scope or excuse to show inaction, indecisiveness against mafias playing with the national security of the state of Pakistan. You should know how to deal with criminals in the state institutions from bureaucracy, police, security, judiciary and among judges by taking ‘extra ordinary’ measures and not homeopathic solutions. Generals and Commanders are remembered with their ‘decisions and commands’ not kindness, poetry and philosophy.
“Why you did not take over Sarajevo airport in Bosnia & Herzegovina, when US General told you to”, I asked General Mike Jackson British Army Chief at a seminar in London he was sitting next to me. He whispered and said, ‘you will have to read my book to know the whole story.
I come from a family whose 6 male members including my maternal grandfather Mohammed Ameer and his five brothers were martyred in 1947 war of independence fighting with Sikhs, Hindus and my younger brother Faisal Qureshi martyred by India run MQM-Altaf terrorists in October 2011 in Lahore.
So, I very well know the importance of Pakistan and price our soldiers are paying for it. As a field writer and journalist, I can give the pulse, ground realities and realistic honest analysis. It is good to have an outsider’s view. You need mature and sharp people in sensitive positions to get the hints and not some kids. This picture really touched my heart and I have no words to express grief and pain of these girls.

Weapon of Debt launched at Pakistan
“There are two ways to conquer & enslave a country One is by the Sword. The other is by Debt” said John Adams. Someone asked me: ‘how we can bring dollar prices down in Pakistan’?
‘Over 50,000 Cases of Loan Defaulters Pending Before Courts’, National Assembly was told by State Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs Rana Muhammad Afzal on 2nd March 2018. The names of the people who had their bank loans ‘written off’ since 1990 are also available in the parliament. Now you know their names and addresses. A short visit by special ops unit for recovery and some warning shots close to heads.
If you do the mathematics of their ‘super business’ skills, you will see that they are thieves and Robbers who looted the $95 billion national wealth while Pakistan Armed Forces were busy against terrorists. Pakistan recover Rs 51 billion from ‘electricity thieves’, who were mostly businessmen.
Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, minister for Railways is the only brave politician in Pakistan who stood up in front of the criminal mafia in Karachi and said last month April 2019: ‘I know you are the people who show the ways to corruption. I know you give funding to all the parties”.
What these financial terrorists so called business people have done to Pakistan:
(1) drained the US$ dollars from the economy of Pakistan by not bringing back the revenue of sold items and products abroad.
(2) They enjoyed the subsidies in the gas and electric as well as refunds in tax but did not pay back the country and kept the profits in foreign banks or invested in real estates aboard.
During last 8 months, Special Secretary, Ministry of Finance informed Parliament committee that Rs. 1400 billion were paid against interest of the earlier borrowing in May 2019.
A senior official of Finance Division informed a parliamentary panel that incumbent government had borrowed massive Rs 3653 billion during the first eight months of the current fiscal year. Meanwhile, the devaluation of currency has also added Rs.1421 billion to the public debt in last few months.
The committee was informed that Pakistan public debt has reached 74 percent of the GDP, which is 14 percent higher against the limit of 60 percent set in Fiscal Responsibility and Debt Limitation Act 2005. Pakistan total debt stood at Rs 28.6 trillion by March 2019 with 47 percent component of domestic debt and 27.7 percent external debt. The committee was further informed that there would be an increase in debt for a short period in near future, however, the debt to GDP ratio will reduce from currently level of 75 percent of the GDP to 65 percent in five years’ time due to increase in GDP size.
In August 2018, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar directed defaulting individuals and companies to pay at least 75 % per cent of the principal amount of the written-off loans. He was hearing a case related to the illegal waiver of bank loans amounting to billions of rupees by influential companies and businesspersons. It had issued notices to 222 companies, accused of having loans written off.
According to Government of Pakistan report Rs. 1 Trillion was spent on development in Sind province which is run by Zardari mafia since 2008. Most of this development fund is stolen and hidden as well as smuggled abroad. Ishaq Dar gave amnesty to this loot. Instead of putting them in jail he has given them a way out to these white-collar criminals. Someone said: “if we disband police 50% crimes will disappear and if we jail corrupt politicians 100% crimes will end”.
Imran Khan need more support from Patriots against mafias in Judiciary, Bureaucracy, Media and Security
Prime Minister Imran Khan need all the support from patriotic people of Pakistan in uniform, and without uniform. Those rotten old woods are there but you need to get rid of them with ‘special measures.’
Role of Judiciary in Urban Warfare in Pakistan
After this Rs.50 stamp paper justice delivered to Nawaz Sharif by two High Court judges made some people feel to go and live in a ‘Taliban controlled area’ with their just justice system and not this prostitution of judiciary for rich.
The appointments of judge’s system need to be reviewed on war footings otherwise criminals in judiciary keep on releasing terrorists and criminal mafias. That was the only reason military courts were established. US State Department also raised concerns about the acquittal rate of the criminals in the Pakistani judiciary.
Criminal Mafia of Lawyers have launched ‘Urban Warfare’ against State of Pakistan: Anti-Terrorist Court Granted Bail to all lawyers.
A large section of Pakistani judiciary and lawyers have joined in the ‘Urban Warfare’ launched by the mafias linked to Indo-Sharif elements. These political/lawyers’ dual elements like Hamid Khan, Raza Rabbani (architect of 18th Amendment), Ali Ahmed Kurd and others, have endorsed and supported the terrorist attacks of the lawyers’ mob at the (PIC) cardiac hospital in Lahore resulted in multiple deaths.
The urban warfare has started in Pakistan with the fueling of land mafias billions and help of lawyers and judges. Now criminals have been assured full protection at all levels from police to courts, lawyers and even prison staff just in case someone jailed for few months.
The way supreme court chief justice (now retired) Asif Saeed Khosa, took up the army chief’s extension case and commented during hearing it was a clear sign that: ‘he was talking to elements beyond the borders by flexing his muscles and embarrassing as well as targeting Pakistan armed forces’. A Hazara judge from Baluchistan in Supreme Court, Justice Faiz Essa ’s judgments in favor of Sharifs and his apartments and properties in UK and elsewhere have nothing to do with this point scoring with the armed forces?
Soon after Justice Waqar Seth appointed by Indo-Sharif gang also took similar line in General Musharraf case judgment by asking ‘Musharraf’s body to be hanged for three days in D Chowk’. He was also messaging to people beyond borders. It is extremely embarrassing that former judges, generals and bureaucrats taking up petty roles in European or US think tanks. They should be banned for at least two years after retirement for taking up foreign roles and/or appointments.
ATC Judge Arshad Hussain Bhatta conducted the proceedings on bail applications, filed by the accused lawyers – Abdul Shakoor, Muhammad Shahbaz and others. A group of more than 600 lawyers had stormed the hospital on December 11, vandalised property and damaged dozens of vehicles. They also set ablaze a police van during their assault.
At least 52 lawyers were arrested after the attack and presented before the court. Two FIRs were registered against over 250 lawyers who attacked Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore.
I have dealt with courts and mafias for many years and have first – hand experience of judicial system. Someone was telling me the way judiciary is at the moment and how judges are recruited form certain chambers it would be impossible to anyone to bring any high-profile criminals to justice. I have seen these VIP criminals following the laws and queuing up in London busses and tube stations.
For the safe exit of Nawaz Sharif to London it seems whole RAW network was activated to support Sharifs as Indians themselves have called ‘Sharifs’ their assets.
Political mafias used legal cover for their protection for example Asif Zardari had over 525 adjournments on medical grounds to avoid his case hearings in Pakistan. His father in law Z A Bhutto’s lawyers had over 400 adjournments for petty reasons. The cases were later collapsed due to political reasons. President General Musharraf told me in London: ‘I made a mistake by granting NRO. I did because court cases were not moving forward.
Corruption is weapon of ‘urban war’ and If it continues like that the state of Pakistan will have bigger challenges which men in uniform will not be able to control and that was the plan by Indians ‘Why kill them when you make them corrupt’ as former RAW chief AS Daulat wrote in his book.
It is evident that security institutions and agencies do not have capacity and resources to deal with problems keeping in view the size of the county and challenges. They need to raise similar forces to fight mafia as they have raised force to protect CPEC.
The fast track delivery of desired justice to Nawaz Sharif a convicted criminal former prime minister by the Lahore High Court exposed the power of mafias in Pakistan.
Boys in the boot are always disillusioned with the false sense of power than actual power. I told someone, ‘you have a leak in your system’. From Benazir to Nawaz Sharif and Zardari, all did their best to clip the wings of security agencies and recent events expose the lack of capacity as modern espionage and security concerns have changed. Let the old boys go and let in the young blood with skills, knowledge and passion.
Finally, there is a little ray hope that some people in boots realizing, that you cannot do everything with boots on and this delusion of ‘I know everything’. The needs of a modern army and warfare are different now. They should know that ‘corruption’ is a modern weapon to erode a nation from within while you were standing with a gun facing the enemy without know what the hell is going on behind your back’.
It was great that military called in the so called ‘business mafia’ at the GHQ economy seminar and showed them documents received from China that: ‘Pakistanis trades US$12 billion with China’. The business mafia only submitted receipts of US$6 billion to the FBR (federal board of revenue), by ‘under invoicing’ rest of the money was redirected to foreign banks.
Conspiracy to constitutionally break Pakistan – 18th Amendment
It is unfortunate that some Pakistani elements are deluded with Indian narrative of history. The reality is that it was the Indian leadership, which has proven to be incompetent and failed to run India as state since 1947. After the departure of the British they engaged in the conspiracies and activities to break Pakistan and was successful in 1971 with the help of Soviets and US. Therefore, divided India twice within 25 years. This policy is continued and shows lack of vision of Indian leadership. Sincerity is proved by actions and not by words.
On 12th January 2009 MQM tabled a “Provincial Autonomy’ Sine qua non for a Federation, Draft Bill for Constitutional Amendments to Provide Complete Constitutional Autonomy to Constituent Units”. It is quite strange that a party (MQM–A) which bank on the votes of people who migrated and some emigrated later from India and had no roots with any province of Pakistan is allegedly involved in the Indo-US plot of disintegration of Pakistan. So, what will happen to those who are not Punjabis, Sindis, Baluchis, Pathans, and Kashmiris living peacefully in Pakistan? Another episode of ‘Biharis – Pakistanis’ living camps in now Bangladesh?
“It was 1974 constitution of former Yugoslavia which caused the break of the state”, said Antonio Moneo Lain a visiting fellow at LSE in his lecture at London School of Economics on 2nd December 2009. I told him that although, “USA is a union of States but no such facility like choice of becoming independent country is available to the states as the issue of state autonomy is kept vague”.
The plan is devious and not easy to understand. International financiers and plotters use constitutional loopholes to disintegrate countries to take control of natural resources. These plotters, their bankers and local agents are adept at creating food and other shortages, unemployment, insecurity, lawlessness, corruption, poverty and constitutional hiatus that make it necessary to invite foreign experts and international financial institutions for advice and help. The whole idea is to pass the control over national institutions, assets (Railways, steel mills, oil, gas resources) to these plotters, bankers.
It seems that minders of Nawaz, Zardari, MQM and ANP have the Soviet Model of disintegration in mind. In modern times international plotters exploit legal and constitutional loopholes or arrange for such constitutional amendments that lead inevitably to the disintegration of the country.
For example, in dismantling the USSR the international plotters used constitutional provisions, which had been placed intentionally. There were provisions in the Constitution of the USSR – put in during the heady days after the Russian Revolution of 1918, that made dismantling of the Union not just possible but easy. Article 70 of the Soviet Constitution Stated: “Union of the Soviet Republics is a unitary, federal, multinational state, formed on Free Self Determination of Nations”. Article 72 was more explicit and stated: “Each Union Republic retains the right freely to secede from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics”.
Interestingly no such provision or mechanism is available in the US Constitution. According to US experts “the constitutional language is ‘sparse’. It is up to the Congress to give meaning to that language”. We all know who control and gets the majority in the Congress?
Now if we analyse USSR and Yugoslavia’s examples and read between the lines what these plotters are suggesting in the name of constitutional reforms in 1973 Constitution of Pakistan, it becomes crystal clear and evident that sinister game is being played to undo Pakistan from the back door. That is the game of many interested parties in the region including India. Are our politicians making such constitutional changes that court the danger of Pakistan meeting the fate of Yugoslavia? That is the question? What is our so-called friend US is doing? Same what they did in 1971 in creating Bangladesh.
What could happen if Pakistan is destabilized or attacked by India?
Keeping in view recent attacks on the Cease Fire Line of Kashmir and working boundary by the Indians, which is understood as ‘secret support of Nawaz Sharif’ from Modi, lead Indian government. What Indians and other sleeping partners must understand and know that:
Pakistan will Nuke India with its ‘small’ nuke weapons by eliminating any forces assembling on its borders with design to cross into Pakistan. This is based on information and not on assumption.
- More than 15 separatist armed militant movements currently going on in India would reach its boiling point and disintegrate India?
- Certain countries could not afford two destabilized states with the 180 million and over 1 billion population in their neighbourhoods?
- The whole lot of elite, friends and compromised beneficiaries of certain countries would be eliminated as happened after Iranian Revolution and this region might become out of bound and hell
- Reaction from 2.5 million retired and 600,000 active members of the Pakistani armed forces and public would be unimaginable for the invaders, their supporters and collaborators
- Pakistan is not Iraq or Lebanon and people should learn from their experiences and come out of denial?
- Those who are providing protection to private mercenaries (black water/Xe) should be named and shamed?
Corruption, Growth of Mafias and Security threats
With growth of criminal mafias with full police and political protection in all areas, Pakistani society has become corrupt, cancerous and rotten to the bones in past four decades, where religion and corruption are living side by side. It is rotten to the extent that, people are making and selling life-saving fake medicines, dangerous food and drinks, harmful oil and even fake tea dipped in animal blood to colour. People are selling and feeding meat of donkey, dogs and other animals.
“Why kill them when you can make them corrupt”, said Indian agency RAW chief AS Daulat. Corruption is not merely a bloody civilian issue anymore and now it is an important national security matter. It is expected you will act on it and act now. You might have to take extra ordinary steps and extra ordinary situations as you are a major target of the enemies within and beyond borders.
Financial Terrorism – Pakistani businessmen Robbed $6 billion only trade with China
According to reports in public domain The government advisor on Finance Hafeez Shaikh told businessmen in meeting with the Army chief : “China reported to Pakistan that: ‘Pakistani businessmen have import orders of $12 billion dollars but our record shows that you only declared imports of $6 billion so you have moved $6 billion to your foreign accounts in Dubai, Europe and elsewhere by under invoicing. The above is only once incident and we can imagine who has actually paralyzed the country and make the national vulnerable. It is mafia alliance of businessmen and corrupt element in the state machinery.
Financial Terrorism and Seths of Karachi
According to Government of Pakistan report Rs. 1 Trillion was spent on development in Sind province which is run by Zardari mafia since 2008. Most of this development fund is stolen and hidden as well as smuggled abroad. Ishaq Dar has given amnesty to this loot. Instead of putting them in jail he has given them a way out to these white-collar criminals. Someone said: “if we disband police 50% crimes will disappear and if we jail corrupt politicians 100% crimes will end”.
What these Economic hitmen and Terrorists ‘Seths’ have done to Pakistan:
(1) drained the US$ dollars from the economy of Pakistan by not bringing back the revenue of sold items and products abroad.
(2) They enjoyed the subsidies in the gas and electric as well as refunds in tax but did not pay back the country and kept the profits in foreign banks or invested in real estates aboard.
(4) By giving tax amnesty to the ‘Seths’ criminals and terrorist financiers Ishaq Dar and Nawaz Sharif further destroyed the ailing economy of Pakistan.
(5) they sabotaged the return of US$ 200 billion from Swiss Banks with the help of corrupt elements in bureaucracy, FBR and State Bank. Even the Swiss Banks are willing to return the money back to Pakistan.
Police Corruption, National Security & Urban Warfare
Pakistani police are a sign of fear, ruthlessness, cruel, corruption, inefficient, and not protection, security and safety because it is used as private mercenary force to eliminate opponents by mafias run by so called politicians and families hiding behind so called democracy. Police is the only institutions which can become real time eye and ears of a fighting force an army. Sadly, all police stations are sold to the highest bidder and have price tag attached. You may check the posting rates in all the police stations in Rawalpindi and capital Islamabad. It is very easy for an hostile or even friendly agency to buy out whole areas police stations and you wouldn’t even know about it as you facing the border outward thinking all is well in the back home, well it is not all is well. One of the reason military death toll was so high in the so-called war on terror in Pakistan was due to inefficient and corrupt police who failed to identify local collaborators in urban areas.
‘Corruption – a Weapon of War: Pakistan Army tricked by Politicians and Bureaucracy
The objective reality is that Pakistan army (GHQ) is not calling the shots at all in every matter but it has been blamed and made to feel like that. Corrupt politician and civil bureaucracy, an army of over 4500 foreign nationals mostly from 5 I’s (5 countries Intelligence sharing) syndicate states have successfully built up this narrative that: ‘GHQ’ is in everything happen and goes wrong in Pakistan’.
Probably some people in the armed forces might have this ‘illusion and false sense’, that: ‘they are the most powerful people in the country’. If that is true than how come politicians and civil bureaucracy filled with foreign agents have completely destroyed the economy, infrastructure, police, governance and looted over $200 billion under your nose and nobody knew about it.
They forced the army chief Gen Bajawa and current Prime Minister Imran Khan almost beg to the small countries for help and crusaders sitting in the IMF for few billion dollars. Economic independence is key to national independence.
Look at the Hayat Regency scandal in Islamabad where Supreme Court of Pakistan allowed an illegal high-rise construction to be legal because all rich and powerful own the apartments in it including Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
The Supreme Court of Pakistan gave relief to Malik Riaz Hussian of Bahria Town and all his accomplices involved in ‘Great Land Robbery’ in Karachi of over Rs 30,000 billion biggest in the history of world. The above examples prove one point that there is no law and accountability for Rich and Mighty in Pakistan.
Sharifs have attacked the Supreme Court of Pakistan and have been dictating judges like Justice Malik Qayum for judgements against the opponents, their secret phone tapes conversations are available in media. Sharifs can harbour Indian Agency RAW agents in their sugar mills and offices, support Indian Raw Agent Kulbhushan Yadave, blame Army in Dawn Leaks, help Indian businessmen ‘Ammbanis’ in the insurance of Jam Nagar Refinery, invite Indian Prime Minister Modi to their home at Jati Ummra (Raiwind) at his granddaughter (Maryam’s daughter) wedding, send his military secretary on gardening leave ‘saying it is private wedding’ and also get away with it. Something is really wrong here. No? Where is the grand power of the military and GHQ?
Corruption in Bureaucracy increased Military & Civilian Causalities in Pakistan
Pakistan’s civilian bureaucracy and police is a bigger national security threat than India. When 76000 Pakistani civilians and 16000 solders, police and security was losing their lives these civil bureaucrats like Fawad Hasan Fawad and Ahad Cheema and others in this gang were engaged in destroying the state of Pakistan. They never say no to the ‘Unlawful Commands’ of the politicians like Asif Zardari, Sharifs and others rather joined in.
It was a senior civil service Bureaucrat Mr Masood who went to IMF and told them about the free delivery oil to Pakistan from brotherly Saudi Arabia and it is civil servants who sabotage another offer by Azerbaijan for free delivery of oil 10 million USD defer payment to Pakistan. Surely it would help with some foreign exchange now?
International Security Threats and local Collaborators: Dawn Leaks of Sharifs, Memo Gate of Bhuttos – Asif Zardari
Dawn Leaks: I am wondering why there is reluctance to act on the ‘National Security Breach’ by the Sharifs. I have said it before Sharifs and Zardaris are criminals and would never have hesitated for a single moment to crucify you, had there any breach within the ‘armed forces or security institutions. So don’t worry about your post retirement image as you will not be judged with ‘good guy or bad guy’ image. You will be judged weather you acted at the right time or not. Close ally of Sharifs and PML- N Senator Pervez Rashid has already rubbished Gen ® Raheel Shareef, former Army Chief in a SAMA Tv interview by saying ‘Dawn leaks’ was Raheel Sharif’s drama’.
I am sorry to say on the issue of ‘Dawn News Group Planted story against Pakistan’s national interests and your indecisive approach is not helping the country. Those who are responsible for this national security breach should have been arrested under the Army Act and put on trial without a moment delay.
You must understand that you are not dealing with law abiding politicians but corrupt criminals in disguise of dodgy democracy.
Nawaz Sharif is an Indian asset and is continuing to play Modi’s games. There are countless occasions when Nawaz Sharif damaged the interests of the state of Pakistan at national and international stages. He and his cronies have humiliated the armed forces of Pakistan and ISI countless times to please the Indians. The whole Sharif empire is built on ‘stolen metals’ bought from gypsies and stolen railways tracks. They have come a long way to the highest office in past 40 years while you were moving from one cantonment to another with your bags, kids and baggage.
You got only one RAW agent, Indian Navy officer Kubushan Yadave code name ‘Monkey’. Indian Prime Minister Modi is responding to Pakistan via Nawaz Sharif ‘you got my Monkey, but I have Zoo in Raiwind and Islamabad’ with monkeys, donkeys and foxys. I am sure you know that all assets are at work now?
Nawaz lead assets and Modi both are testing Pakistan Army as part of sinister agenda. Nawaz Sharif and Narander Modi are two sides of the same coin as both want to stretch the armed forces of Pakistan to its limits. Obviously, India is not alone as media reports suggest US is behind this latest escalation at Line of Control and inside Indian Occupied Kashmir.
Conspiracy in Delaying the CPEC and Gawadar
I asked Maj Gen. Asif Ghafoor, spokesman of the Armed Forces in London about the corruption and anti-state activities of the civilian bureaucracy, revenue and police for example only in Gawadar city budget was deliberately underspent and district was kept without water projects, health facilities and schools, colleges and universities. The result of this sabotage will cause delays in the development of the CPEC projects and Gwardar Port.
My major concern I told him was that: ‘Overseas Pakistanis are lured into invest in 140 housing societies and 70 industrial estates all are non-existent on the ground only two housing societies are plotting and developing. All the above can happen when civil bureaucracy, police and relevant ministers are on one page and corrupt. A city which has Arabian sea on both sides have no drinking water and proper electric is a disgrace and slap on the face of the rulers.
General Asif Ghafoor’s response was well calculated, and he understood the intent well I hope so.
He said: “we lost 76000 civilians and over 16000 members of the security and armed forces but if police and other civilian departments functioning properly these deaths could be reduced as armed forces were fighting with terrorists which is the remit of local police and security agencies.”
Probably General Asif Ghafoor already knew that it was a conspiracy and plot against the armed forces of Pakistan to ‘stretch, thin and drag in urban warfare like Lebanon’ where police completely failed so plot was to make Pakistan Lebanon.
In April 2014, I was invited to take part in a discussion with staff of the National Defense University, Islamabad, Pakistan visiting London, on “Pakistan’s Domestic and External Security Challenges Following the ISAF Withdrawal from Afghanistan”. Brigadier Mohammad Iqbal Tahir lead this delegation and it was held at War Studies Department, Kings College London. The other journalists who participated were Christina Lamb, The Times, and Owen Bennett Jones of BBC as well as diplomats, academics and policy and security experts.
“I said to Pakistan’s (NDU) National Defence University delegation attending War Studies Department Seminar at Kings College London:
“FATA is only 1.5 % of Pakistan. What is happening in 98.5% Pakistan run by the democratically elected governments? From March 2008 to March 2013 in Pakistan 64500 people have been murdered over 14000 women have been raped including over 2000 gang rapes, burglaries and robberies are apart from this as they are in millions. All the above happened under the politically run government. Police and judiciary have become a national security threat to Pakistan now?
Dr Shahid Qureshi and a team of legal experts conducted a research on ‘policing – judiciary, mafias and national security’ in Pakistan. I spoke to two senior Foreign and Commonwealth Office officials concerned with Pakistan after the seminar at the war college. Who were concerned with the law and order situation as well as terrorism in Pakistan? In response to my discussion and subsequent article: “Pakistan: Police corruption is bigger threat to Army than Taliban’, published on 28th April 2014 in The London Post: I received following comments from the senior Foreign and Commonwealth official of Pakistan desk: –
Dr Qureshi – “Many thanks for this interesting article and the crime figures which are both horrifying and worryingly apparently on the increase. The disparity between the armed forces and police both in terms of integrity and numbers and budgets is deeply concerning when crime rather than terrorism is so dominant, although the two go hand in hand. It is similar to the previous situation in Lebanon, where the police were not competent, sectarian and not trusted by the public, while the army was considered the real protector of the people. There the international community were able to work with the Ministry and the police to start a process of reform, which gradually started to transform their ability and willingness to fight crime and increased public trust. It is still a long way behind the army, but change has taken place.
In Pakistan, although there are various police reform programs under way, they seem to have had little impact across the board, although there may be some improvement in some areas. This is a very significant area for reform if internal security along the lines set out in the NISP is to be achieved. At present, there does not seem to be a major strategy on the part of the (Pakistan) Federal Government and, as policing is a provincial responsibility, any reform is likely to be piecemeal and limited.
Is this an issue of public debate in Pakistan? Have any of the think tanks addressed it in their reports or politicians in their manifestos or in the National/ Provincial Assemblies? I do not recall seeing any substantial discussion.”
The above comments by the British FCO experts confirm that: world is watching you very closely even when your own people are complicit, corrupt and treacherous.
The above comments are self-explanatory and surely need full attention of the concerned for immediate action. Police corruption and incompetence is resulting in deaths and destruction of the civilians as well as the armed forces of Pakistan. The attack on Karachi Airport proved that police has completely failed to locate the terrorists as happened in other cases too.
Who should take responsibility of the corruption in police and growth of mafias? It is the responsibility of the politicians and that’s all. When you deliberately play with a weak player you are playing for the enemy therefore corruption of bureaucracy damaged the state of Pakistan in trillions and thousands have lost lives? One would just bring few hundred criminal civil and security officials to justice and save further lives and damage to Pakistan.
Financial Terrorism a bigger security Challenge
Karachi based ‘criminal gangsters’ close links with Razaq Dawood, economic advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan to strike again with a day light robbery of taxpayer’s Rs 208 billion in the form of Government subsidy by issuing a Presidential order according to senior journalist Mohammad Malick. It is supposed to be the highest ‘white collar’ robbery in the history of Pakistan as total loan right off was Rs 256 billion in past 30 years according to documents submitted to the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the loan defaulters’ case. They need ‘airstrikes’ on their corruption stations and dealt with iron hand if Pakistan want to win the coming wars. Their so-called, charity is actually a ‘little return’ to public their own money’.
According to the proposal tabled by the so-called businessmen based predominantly in Karachi and close links with shadowy Razaq Dawood, the economic advisor to the Prime Minister Imran Khan. Sectors benefiting from the taxpayer’s public money are Textile Rs. 42.5 billion, CNG/LNG Rs 80 bn, Fertilizer 69, IPPs power Rs. 91 billion etc. It is to be noted that fertilizer and power have already take money from the farmers and subscribers.
These people are the real threat to national security at a time when Pakistan is struggling to cope with the economic crisis and armed forces of Pakistan refused to have a pay rise and increase in defence budget, but these criminals are asking for subsidy. They need to pay Rs. 801 billion but have only paid Rs. 285 billion, so far.
We warned the controversy about Razaq Dawood now adviser to Pakistani prime minister and former minister in the General Pervez Musharraf’s government has opportunistic and history of damaging Pakistan’s industry. His company DESCON with 30% shares and 70% Chinese company is awarded a contract to construct “Mohammand Dam” with over Rs 300 billion.
Due to the nature of mafias in action and syndicates of banks, politicians, civil servants, police, military men involved in Pakistan’s normal court system cannot deal with the challenges. The reality is that Pakistani civil court system, security institutions, like FIA, NAB, ISI, police, FBR don’t have the needed capacity and skills to deal with the giant of financial terrorism and money laundering. Pakistan need military courts to deal with financial corruption, money laundering and terror financing.
“His company DESCON was caught red handed in theft of electricity at industrial scale. He has been involved in 4 mega corruption scandals” said senior journalist Rauf Kalasra.
In a TV program senior journalist Mohmmad Malick exposed Razaq Dawood that: “as member of Pakistan engineering council board how he (Razaq Daud) opposed the import and construction of heavy boilers used in sugar mills in Pakistan because his company was making too but not the one required. During his time as minister with Gen Musharraf he damaged Pakistan steel mills and benefited his family and friends in the coal business”.
Pakistan is the only country where poor people are taxed for the filthy rich and corrupt so-called business elite. These so-called philanthropists are leaching blood out of the people and then making so called gestures by returning little part of the loot. These Con men or so-called businessmen people play with emotions and psychology of poor people with all kinds of tricks Malik Riaz built a mosque, Seth Dawood gives money for fans and mattress of the mosque, they fund exotic and sexed up foreign trips like Arslan Iftikhar son of former Chief Justices Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry by Bahria Town owner Malik Riaz Hussain, Eden Garden Housing scammer got his son married to Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry former Chief Justice’s daughter, they both scammed thousands and took away money from widows, pensioners, solders and martyrs families. So, thousands many and share with few in politics, police, military and live a happy life.
Afghanistan and US withdrawal
US President Trump is keen to have an honourable exit from Afghanistan. On 17th February 2018, while speaking at Munich Security Conference in Germany, General Qamar Javeed Bajwa said:
“Today, after spending more than 1.4 Trillion, the situation can best be described as a stalemate. But to my reckoning the cause of stalemate is not only the Haqqani Network or TTA, as they had almost been defeated 13 years ago; it was the pursuit of a wrong strategy which led to their resurrection.
He further said: “We still have nearly 2.7 Million Afghan refugees in our country, whose concentrations are routinely used by TTA and Haqqani Network to recruit, morph and melt. It is time for these refugees to be repatriated with dignity. It is the only way we can ensure that no one is misusing our hospitality and soil for mischief in Afghanistan. This is possible at a fraction of the cost of war in Afghanistan, which is currently around $ 46 Billion per year. Financial cost exceeding US $ 250 Billion – only a fraction of which is actually shared by our global partners. With over 1100 Al-Qaeda operatives killed and other 600 handed over to US, Pakistan is instrumental in disruption and decimation of Al-Qaeda from Afghanistan and Pakistan.
“Our border with Afghanistan is highly porous. We have unilaterally taken many steps to ensure proper management of this border. We gave raised tens of new border specific units, built hundreds of new border surveillance forts and have started the process of fencing 2300 Kilometres of the border. We are putting scanners and biometrics at border terminals to ensure that while common Afghans are facilitated, miscreants and terrorists are prevented or arrested.
Pakistan Army has waged a relentless and bloody fight against terrorism and violent extremism, at a monumental human and material cost: – Over 35,000 Pakistanis have lost their lives, over 48,000 are critically wounded or disabled, Financial cost exceeding US $ 250 Billion – only a fraction of which is actually shared by our global partners.”
“Out of the last 131 terrorist attacks in our border areas last year, 123 were conceived, planned and executed from Afghanistan. We understand their predicament therefore we do not blame them, but instability in Afghanistan is also hurting us badly – and it is happening despite the presence of the most powerful alliance in Kabul” said General Bajwa.
Sometimes it is important to use common sense than ‘intelligence’. Since starting of the ‘fraudulent war on terror in 2001 after the self-inflicted attacks on the US on 9/11 as it is Widely believed. No one is questioning how we (USA, NATO and others) got into Afghanistan in the first place?
I said to Dr Thomas H. Johnson, Associate Professor, National Security Affairs Department, Naval Postgraduate School, Monterey, CA, USA at a seminar arranged by an Indian think ‘The Democracy Forum’ in London on 27th November 2017:
“You are a brave man by asking Pakistan to be declared a terrorist state for sponsoring terrorism. May I ask you that at the time of terrorist attacks of 9/11/2001, US had over 15 fully functioning intelligence agencies with billions of US$ budget at their disposal. I like to know how many of their officials were put on trial for criminal negligence, how many were sentenced? One would have sacked chiefs of many of them. No?
The problem is none in the US media, Western Media or even Pakistani media ask these questions. Well if US and Western media don’t ask these questions that is understandable as they are ‘imbedded with the war mongers and bankers’ but what is stopping Pakistani media asking these questions and having a debate on this ‘branding and re-branding of terrorism from Mujahideen, Taliban, Al-Qaida, ISIS or Daesh’. Oh yes US and others have done heavy funding in Pakistani media which various Pakistani governments have allowed it.
This infiltration is the major problem in Pakistan that there is no accountability of rich and powerful as they can get away with murders and treachery. Pakistani elite in politics and high-level government position holders are carrying foreign passports, bank accounts and properties abroad.
Foreign Nationals in Senior Bureaucracy
“At least 45 senior government officials of grade-18 and above have declared their dual nationality after the Supreme Court had directed the Establishment Division to get details of civil servants having dual citizenship. Last month, the Establishment Division issued a notification that said, “The honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan vide Order dated 17-01-2018 passed in CP No.3339&3340 of 20126 has directed to provide complete information as how many civil servants working in BS-17 and above in the federal as well provincial governments have the dual nationality” (The Nation 18/02/18).
Policy of Chaos – Crisis to Crisis
By following the ‘chaos policy’ they are stretching the security apparatus, police, paramilitary and army. We witness doctors, nurses, teachers, professors, clerks, engineers, disables, blind even policemen protesting on the roads, blocking the traffic for their legitimate rights which they should have been granted automatically for example people have not been paid for months in government departments. How will these people survive? On the other hand, number of car users have been tripled in past few years.
Electric shutdown and over pricing
The electric shortage or load shedding was deliberate to damage the industry and keep people on their toes. So, they don’t have time to question what government is doing and what democracy has actually delivered.
Pakistan has the most expansive electricity in the region due to corruption of the private contractors, rich people steeling both gas and electric in their homes as well as in the factories and poor people are paying for it. That is on top of subsidies elite class industrialists gets in billions. Pakistan is the only country in the world where all has different rates of electricity and gas.
Money Laundering to abroad – Real Estate
Islamabad based journalist Asharaf Malkham said, “I received a soft copy of the list from a senior officer of the FBR in 2015… there are more than 35,000 names of people of various nationalities around the world on the list,” Mr Malkham said, adding that he had found details of around 3,363 Pakistanis on the list. Dawn 10/02/18.
The actual figure of Dubai property owners is over 4000 now. The money drained out of the economy of Pakistan has crippled the state and made it vulnerable to the financial terrorist institutions like IMF and World Bank. Finance Minister Ishaq Dar told the parliament that: there are over US$ 200 in swiss Banks owned by Pakistanis’. But did not took swift action to bring the money.
Pakistan’s sitting prime minister Nawaz Sharif was working as an employee of a Dubai based company while also working as full time prime minister of Pakistan. He possessed a work permit issued by the ministry of labour at the request of the company with full terms and conditions included with the ‘work permit’ applications for example, how long is the contract, how much would be the monthly salary and specific qualifications of the candidate to do the work as he cannot change his job. After issuing of work permit, interior ministry issues resident permit (Akama) and person can open a Bank account to receive his salary and also can invite his family and kids. If authorities find that work permit holder is not actually doing the specific job it could be cancelled automatically, and company could be shut down for breach of contract. Now Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif keep on asking people ‘why I am sacked’ the short answer is because of your ‘deception’.
This practice does not stop here as Khawaja Asif is also a ‘work permit’ holder in a middle eastern country and receiving a salary of the job he could not do as he is a full time foreign minister of Pakistan.
The Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal responsible for the national security and head of intelligence agencies is also a ‘work permit’ holder of middle eastern country. So why do these people need a ‘work permit’? The simple reason is that they open bank accounts anywhere in world and their country of residence will be in Middle East and not Pakistan. It is for the money laundering purposes.
Pakistan is going through its critical phase. The way Pakistan is being administered made it challenging for all the institutions which are stretched to the limits. The civilian institutions like police, judiciary and district administration who have failed to protect the life and limb of its people. Following is a brief of major challenges Pakistan facing both nationally and internationally:
Complicit and Complacent Pakistani political leadership – Policing and security
Sheer incompetence and corruption of Pakistani politicians keep toppling democracy all the times. “Had former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilliani invested in policing his son wouldn’t have been kidnapped from his own hometown Multan and taken to some unknown location in Pakistan-Afghanistan border, I said in a BBC News program. Pakistani politicians use police force as a tool to suppress opponents and get away with murders. Had Benazir Bhutto allowed investigation of the C-130 plane crash of late President and Army Chief General Zia ul Haq and other senior officers she might be alive today. But she sent a message to Pakistan Air Force Investigator Group Captain Zaheer Zaidi who already had the information and evidence of sabotage via her minister Col. Ghulam Sarwar Cheema. On 18th March 1989, (in the month of Ramadan), there was an Ifftiar party at the Intelligence School, Guldana Camp, in the Hill Resort of Ghora Gali.
The Chief Guest at the party was Colonel ® Ghulam Sarwar Cheema, Minister of Defence (Benazir Bhutto Government). Group Captain Zaheer Zaidi , being the Commander of the nearby PAF Base, Lower Topa was also invited to the party finding an opportunity Zaidi mentioned the subject of the inquiry into the C-130crash to the Minister. Cheema told him to be quiet and he would come to talk to him at base and talk on the subject. He came to stay at the PAF base VIP guesthouse from 5- 8 May 1989. During his stay one day he summoned Group Captain Zaheer Zaidi and said: “Mr, I have brought a message of BB (Benazir Bhutto) to you: it is (a) It was an act of God (b) Let the dead sleep peacefully in their graves, (c) Whoever wants to ask anything in this matter should telephone God (d) You will not say anything on this subject; in future keep your mouth shut”. This was clear threat to the Air Investigator Zaidi?
Had Benazir Bhutto Prime Minister of Pakistan conducted investigation in the C -130 plane crash of Pakistan Army Chief and President Zia ul Haq she might be alive today and her murderers would have been brought to justice?
Without going much into details as it might rattle some cages and rock few boats I am coming to the current position of the state of governance and democracy in Pakistan. The fact of the matter is that current democracy and most of the mandate claimed is a fraud with the nation.
Leaders and Dealers of Pakistan
When I said to President General Musharraf in the Parliament House in London that: “your NRO (National Reconciliation Ordinance) has proven to be the blackest chapter in the legal and constitutional history. President Musharraf said: That is true but what I could do things were not moving forward cases were pending in the courts for years.
That is the fundamental problem with courts at all levels. Politicians and mafias got judges in their syndicates. Especially granting ‘stay orders’ without timeline to the powerful and not even questioning when you going to come back to the court?
Pakistan Police: Private mercenary force of politicians
Pakistan police has become a private army – a mercenary force for the politicians by using this they are getting away with murders and twisting arms of poor and opponents. The tragic incident of ‘Model Town’ is prime example of criminality mind set within the police system. The police have become a security threat to Pakistan and is more dangerous than Taliban.
According to a study one of the reasons of increase in military death in Pakistan is due corruption, incompetence and politicisation of police. The local intelligence system is collapsed due to corruption in police. The role of SHO is crucial but now who ever buy this office can do whatever they like from murder to drugs to terrorism. All the ‘suicide bombers’ and terrorists launched in the towns and cities of Pakistan need logistical support and base. Police is the main institution, which deals with the street level intelligence and pulse of the people. The terrorist attacks on Karachi Airport, Mehran Base and even GHQ was not due to the competence of the terrorists but in fact it was failure of policing and holes in the system, which terrorists used.
Judicial protection to criminal mafias – security threat
Very few terrorists have been brought to justice and/or hanged. It is true that police failed to provide evidence but judiciary itself failed to modernise itself according to needs of the day. The law of evidence and swiftness in the judicial process is still old and obsolete. Courts at all levels are mainly dealing with cases related to land and property disputes. The whole court system is criminal friendly than providing justice to the victim. Might is right is the order of the day. When a judge and police officer become corrupt – it destroys the foundations of the state – no army or nukes and missiles can save the state – It is a well-known fact that when enemy operatives and terrorist make their base, first thing they do is make a contact with local criminal mafia, which provides them all the necessary means from arms, logistics and human resources. Sadly, all the land and other Mafias in Pakistan cannot function without local political protection starting from the bottom up and top down according to the size and influence.
Role of anti-Pakistani (RAW) elements in disguise of politicians
From 2013 to 2017 Nawaz Sharif and his brother Shabaz Sharif as Chief minister Punjab from 2008 to date ruled in Pakistan. During this time RAW agents have been arrested from their sugar mills and other businesses. Nawaz Sharif was the first person who confirmed the identity of Mumbai Bombings accused Ajmal Kasab. He invited Indian Prime Minister Narandra Modi and his national security advisor Ajit Doval on his birthday and Maryam Nawaz’s daughter marriage. He sent his military secretary on ‘gardening leave’ and did not invite his national security advisor.
According to a book, “Air Massacre over Bahawalpur” page 341, written by Commodore Tariq Majeed: “Nawaz Sharif’s Indian Connection: India’s RAW hosted Nawaz Sharif’s visit to Delhi in 1978 and cultivated him in some ways, but he had been picked up and programmed by RAW’s masters, CIA and Mossad, to serve, like Ms Bhutto, the Zionist interests. What gives special significance and authenticity to this disclosure is that its author was a member of the key staff in ISI when Nawaz was being hooked by RAW.
This is not like a spy story of James bond 007 stealing a secret of the enemy. What Nawaz Sharif and others in his team are doing is much more sophisticated and subtle. In modern world agents like Nawaz Sharif serve their masters in a very subtle way for example:
“it was Nawaz Sharif who confirmed the identity of only surviving alleged terrorist of Mumbai Attacks which was quoted all over the world”.
On the other hand, former IG Police of Mahrashtara said in his speech that Ajmal Kassab was in custody of the Indian Agency at the time of Mumbai Attacks. He is seeking re investigations of Mumbai Attacks and fighting case in the Indian High Court and case hearing is due in October 2016. I have spoken to him and he has confirmed to me that a trial hearing is due in October this year.
Nawaz Sharif has undermined Pakistan from all sides be it economy, foreign affairs, defence or international image. For example, Nawaz Sharif did not appoint:
A full time Foreign Minister since 2013 for four years until 2017.
Nawaz Sharif did not appoint a full time Defence Minister.
Nawaz Sharif’s finance minister Ishaq Dar a money launderer and a liar has business interests with the Indians in Dubai. He was defender of Indian terrorist group MQM-A.
His closest ally Mahmood Khan Achakuzai declared KPK province as part of Afghanistan in an interview with Afghan newspaper but Nawaz Sharif did not say anything to him or suspend his membership or called for explanation.
He has been supporting Indians on Kashmir issue and never raised this pressing matter at any international forum where Indian Prime Minster Modi was present from Russia to France to New York. Nawaz Sharif played well on the Indian lines and had all these messengers from singer Adnan Sami Khan to actress Sharmila Tagoor visiting his estate in Raiwind.
Nawaz Sharif dis not uttered a word. He is totally numbed since the arrest of active RAW agent Kulbushan Yadav aka (Kulbhushan Naqvi) code named ‘Monkey’. Some analysists also believe that sudden eruption of movement in Kashmir is also linked with supporting Nawaz Sharif strategy to put pressure on Pakistan Army.
His businesses with India and illegal wealth abroad is matter of security risk be in Britain or elsewhere. His arms can be twisted at any time and his wealth could be confiscated at any time as what is known in British law ‘Proceeds of Crimes’. He has no receipts of his wealth and panama leaks documents are enough to twist his both arms and wring his neck.
Indian shrewdness and Pakistani complacency
The Indian sweat talking, and meaningless time-wasting talks did not get Pakistan anywhere in the past and serve no useful purpose now. India is good at softening targets with Bollywood bombers and its highly professional electronic media, which builds credible narrative on the foundation of complete lies. Death of Indian terrorist Serbjit Singh in a Pakistani prison, and brutal killing of a Pakistani prisoner in Jammu Kashmir Indian jail raise question about the peaceful intentions of India. The Indian establishment is under tight and permanent control of a small minority with anti-Pakistan bias.
Its policy in Bangladesh shows that it does not spare even its puppets; it uses them even more blatantly to tighten its hold. The on-going Indian state terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir and its going ahead with building nearly 150 dams in Jammu and Kashmir is much more eloquent testimony of India’s real plans – not the song and dance of Aman ki Aasha. Acquiescence to India’s never-ending negotiations is a betrayal of 100,000 who died in the struggle for the freedom of Kashmir.
Policy of Sandwiching Pakistan by India
The policy of ‘India friendly government’ and ‘anti-Pakistan government in Afghanistan’ has damaged Pakistan much more than any overt war. While Pakistan does and must want peace with India that objective cannot be achieved by Bollywood overtures.
Reforming and restructuring the national institutions
The idealism of Imran Khan and insecurity of the PML-N is not helping, as bravery and vision are something, which cannot be injected or bought. Corruption makes people weak, coward and compromising. That is true from judges to the presidents as corruption is radioactive.
Assets abroad and national security of Pakistan
The wealth and assets of the politicians abroad have become a national security threat to Pakistan. The new rich finance minister Ishaq Dar has crossed all the lines in his greed to stay in power so much, so he has compromised the national security and lives of the people for short term political gains in Sind by negotiating with ‘local arm’ of the evil forces like Xe aka Black water.
Pakistan narrative on India needs reviewing – Kashmir
There will be no peace with India without the resolution of Kashmir issue. That is a fact so live with it. One cannot close eyes of India’s ‘water-bombing’ just because leaders drink mineral water.
People must understand that all the operations launched in Kashmir by Pakistan from 1948, 1965 and Kargil in 1997 were legal under international law as Kashmir is part of Pakistan and is under illegal occupation and it has every right to fight for its freedom from the aggressor. The UN only act in East Timor and South Sudan as most residents are Christians and when it comes to Palestine and Kashmir UN sleep over them?
In fact it was India who attacked Pakistan in 1948, 1965 and 1971 by crossing international borders. Indian generals and writers are admitting their involvement in the creation of Bangladesh and break up of East Pakistan. More recently India is sponsoring and supporting terrorist groups in FATA, Baluchistan and Karachi.
The problem with the Indian leadership is that they all lack ‘vision’ and also suffered from severe inferiority complex since 1947. A.W Hume the founder of the congress was a white British European over 100 years ago and now still its leader a white Italian born European Sonia Gandhi real name, Antonia Edvige Albina Maino daughter of Parents: Stefano Maino and Paola Maino. The Indian national inferiority complex can be seen with the sale of whitening creams in India. That also affects their makeup of foreign policy when India is hostile to all its brown and yellow neighbours, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal all have problems with racist Indian policies and hostility both inside and abroad.
Pakistan: War in Afghanistan – US Relations
It is beyond imagination that a country of about 200 million with strong armed forces with nuclear capabilities, long range missiles covering whole of Indian including Israel, have war going on the neighbourhood in Afghanistan with NATO and US forces is non serious about the foreign policy?
The reality is launching a weak player or giving a walk over with soft response ignoring the national interests is also treachery. These politicians will never do this in their own businesses i.e. hire an incompetent person to run their business? For that very reason the country is getting poorer and drowning in debts but assets and wealth of these people rocketing sky high and growing by seconds.
There seems to be no clear policy of the current regime as how to deal with the challenges concerning the US lead military occupation of Afghanistan and drone attacks on Pakistan. Pakistan suffered approximately US$160 billion economic losses, deployed more than 147,800 troops conducting combat operations in the tribal areas along the Afghan border. The Pakistan armed forces have lost more than 5000 soldiers, with another 6,400 injured. They sustain an average of 10 casualties each day, and approximately 70,000 Pakistani civilians killed by suicide bombers and terrorism.
There is no doubt that problems in Pakistan are due to the US policies and occupation of Afghanistan and not the other way around. US is in habit of blaming others for the failures of its policies as it was in the case of Vietnam i.e. blaming the neighbours, shifting the blame and not taking responsibility. I have discussed following issues on various occasions in the past years as how US policies affected Pakistan as well as the region.
US Plan in Afghanistan and Defence Contractors
Since US arms dealers and defence contractors seemingly run military and defence policy. I asked the Australian Army Chief at International Summit in London on “End Sexual Violence in Conflict – 10-13 June 2014” – Soldiering is an honourable profession and only job in which a soldier sign his death warrant a part of job description, but these mercenaries have made soldiering a disgrace.
Now any plan B in Afghanistan would make the exit hard, even difficult for allies and US. Now they have one Qandhar ‘Pushtuns’ with plan B they will have three Qandhars of Uzbeks and Tajiks in Afghanistan. There is only one way to solve the problems in Afghanistan and that is way out of Afghanistan without defeated. Shifting the blame on Pakistan would make things worse for allies and US as it would be like ‘blaming the pope and living in Rome’. Afghan venture is costing too much to the US taxpayers as following report confirms. Cross border militancy from Af-Pak border is only 3% due to the presence of 2 million Afghan refugees in Pakistan.
Pakistan is hosting highest number of refugees – why?
As a result of Soviet invasion in 1979 and US and Western intervention in Afghanistan in 1981 against the soviets resulted migration of 3 million refugees in Pakistan. This has made demographic and social changes within KPK province. Sadly, all the regimes in Pakistan have been quietly extending stay of the afghan refugees in Pakistan with UNCHR. When I asked Sartaj Aziz advisor to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, for foreign affairs at London think-tank IISS: “what assistance are you getting from the countries whose intervention caused this migration’. His response was ‘very little”. Pakistani Government has given three months extension to the Afghan refugees in the beginning of 2018.
Afghan War costing $7 Billion per month to US taxpayers
“U.S. expenditures on Afghanistan are now nearly $7 billion per month. This course would not make sense because U.S. interests in Afghanistan are not high enough to justify such an investment. The United States now deploys about 100,000 troops in Afghanistan, yet according to the CIA; there are now only 50 to 100 al Qaeda fighters there. That is between 1,000 and 2,000 soldiers and perhaps a billion dollars per terrorist each year — far beyond any reasonable expenditure of U.S. resources given the stakes involved. The original U.S. military objective in Afghanistan was to destroy al Qaeda, not to fight the Afghan Taliban, and that goal has largely been accomplished”, according to ‘Foreign Affairs’ report January/February 2011, Plan B in Afghanistan – Why a De Facto Partition Is the Least Bad Option’ by Robert D. Blackwill
US harmed Pakistan’s economy, sovereignty and integrity
US President Donald Trump insulted Pakistan by saying US has given Pakistan over US$30 billion in aid since 9/11. It was a lie as not all was aid, as most was the cost of war Pakistan fighting for US aka coalition support fund’. That shows the meanness of USA. But the question I ask myself how on earth US succeeded in damaging Pakistan policy and getting away with it. Well simple answer is that US must have enough agents and operative on the ground in Pakistan who never looked at the ‘national interest’ of Pakistan. No foreign power can succeed without having agents inside to do the job. It is time they should start looking for them.
Keeping in view the above spending in Afghanistan by the US, and its support to Pakistan proves that USA has abused Pakistani state, its infrastructures as well caused over thousands military deaths and over 30,000 civilian deaths. So-called US friendship to Pakistan proved to be lethal, poisonous as well undermines the foundations of the country. Surly that is only possible if Pakistanis in power ignored their national interests and protected their own by selling their souls for green cards and money?
There is no doubt Pakistan’s economy suffered approximately $160 billion losses by the US led fraudulent ‘War on Terror’ in Afghanistan because before the war Pakistan’s annual trade with Afghanistan was about $2 billion a year. But who is going to bell the cat and tell US that your trigger-happy policy made Pakistan suffer economically as well as human losses to the Pakistani citizen? Overall Pakistan’s economy and people suffered losses approximately $160 billion in the past years. The burden of over 3 million Afghan Refugees living in Pakistan as result of first US led adventure against Soviets since 1979. On the basis of logic and probability US friendship with the State of Pakistan has proved to be fatal, harmful, damaging and one sided?
US rule by Pakistani Agents
US must connect with the people of Pakistan and abandon policy of ‘rule by assets’ because it is not long standing and credible. The Indianised elements in the US administration are misleading the country on the instigations of some lobbies and made US and its friends in Pakistan a symbol of ‘shame and treachery’.
The State of Pakistan does not owe anything to the US because United States has taken full advantage of every dollar spent and profited from this love hate relationship. Some corrupt Pakistanis might have become rich, but State of Pakistan has suffered with the treacherous policies adopted and accepted by these individuals ‘assets’. They see US as ‘us’ and not United States. So how can it be a dialogue when people negotiating are considered as US assets? Pakistan – U.S. relations should base on mutual respect and equality.
People like Hussain Haqqani Pakistani former ambassador to US should be arrested for issuing visas to ‘private mercenaries’ with special powers given to him by President Zardari. He issued visas without security clearance from the Pakistani agencies while his wife Farah Isphani minding President Zardari in Islamabad. Hussain Haqqani reportedly issued 10,521 visas from July to November 2009 to the Americans. He issued approximately 500 Pakistani visas in 24 hours using special powers given by President Zardari. Blood of everyone killed civilian or soldier by these agents is on the hands of Zardari and Haqqanis?
Recruitment of US Agents in Pakistan
Ironically Pakistani governments and the establishment have always facilitated the US policies? US enjoy this advantage because it has an elaborate plan to ensure its grip on the governing infrastructure of Pakistan. Amongst a number of ostensibly innocent ways to ensure this control, two are quite prominent. One is the ‘International Visitor Programme and the other is Fulbright Scholarship. Under visit programme, US attracts important / influential members of Pakistani society i.e. politicians, civil/military bureaucrats, journalist, intellectuals etc by offering a visit to US under privileged arrangements.
During these visits, required people are spotted and later on engaged to work for both short and long-term US interests in Pakistan. It does not end here, later on; these people are also assisted and supported to progress in their fields to reach targeted positions of high value from where they can provide required service to their masters. Every year short listing of the potential individuals is done by the existing sources in respected fields that are duly supervised by US embassy. A complete profile of the short-listed individuals is made with special emphasis on strong / weak areas. These areas of the individuals are exploited during their visits / tours to US and they are motivated or forced to work for US interests. Lucrative postings of the armed forces for UN peace missions can be a good networking start for future assets.
In 43 years from 1964 to 2007, total numbers of Pakistanis visited USA was 710 but the numbers shot up in 2007-2008 when 207, Pakistanis have visited US under Fulbright scholarship? These sponsored visits to US cover almost all-important fields of Pakistani society which include Armed Forces / civil bureaucracy (both senior and junior levels) religious scholars, politicians, businessmen, media personnel and students”.
The beneficiaries of this US patronage, work for their master on long term bases and reach place of strategic value. All the way through, heavy financial rewards and full protection is guaranteed to these individuals in case they are in trouble. One can simply recall a number of journalists, politicians and bureaucrats, who were caught for their wrongdoings but went scoot free to the utter surprise of everyone. It was known later that US government exerted pressure for such releases. It would be wise if USA and others connect with the people of Pakistan then recruiting, investing and protecting small ‘chiefs or thieves.
US Policy of displacement and creating refugees
US policies around the world and especially in Pakistan created refugees and internally displaced people in SWAT and FATA to further destabilize the country. Millions of people in Pakistan are waiting to be fully rehabilitated; 3 million Afghan refugees are burden on the economy on Pakistan as well as social problems. They can’t go back NATO and US have occupied Afghanistan and fighting an un-winnable war. All this is happening as part of US design and not mere co incidents i.e. keep turmoil in the country.
NATO and US ignore Indian Army’s Genocide in Kashmir
Kashmiris are now under siege and curfew since 5th August 2019, US have forgotten about the sufferings and miseries of the people in Indian occupied Kashmir. US have ignored 92685 killings, 115877 arrests, 15665 home demolitions, by Indian Security Forces, and 22675 widows and 107218 orphans? Kashmir is not a matter of land dispute or real estate. If Indians solve this long-standing issue both countries can live like US and Canada. India should not worry too much about over inflated trickle-down effect as historically links among the people are much stronger and will further improve. It will leave lot of money to spend on poverty elevation in both countries.
How US backed Regimes undermining Pakistan:
Creating electric shortages for no real reason to destroy industry and economy following IMF agenda
- Why Pakistan’s nuclear scientist not allowed producing electricity for the country because Nawaz and Zardari regimes starved the nuclear science field by budget cuts, this is de-nuclearization. The budget of ‘Orange Train’ project is more than total education and science and technology improvements.
- Not taking stand on water issue with India
- This regime is deliberately taking Pakistan to the failure by strangling the poorest under the IMF agenda.
- So much so that the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan has to make a press statement that, ‘Iran can provide cheap electricity to Pakistan and price can be discussed later’. So what is the hurdle?
- According to the Newsweek magazine issue dated February 9, 2009, “And while the Americans blast the bad guys in the tribal areas, the Pakistanis have been confronting problems in their own ranks. Since September 2008, (since Zardari become President), 140 pro-Islamist officers have been mustered out of ISI, according to a senior diplomatic official in Washington, asking not to be named on such a sensitive topic.”
- Historically US has never been a friend of Pakistan in need, be it war in 1965 or nuclear deal with India, and all its friends paid heavy price be it individuals or countries? One wonders if friends of Pakistan like US and others are part of the problem or part of the solution?
- If this is Pakistan’s war then why USA is paying for it. Pakistan sold its services too cheap? One US/UK private security guard (mostly ex-military) is getting paid approximately £300 – £500 (Rs 36900 – Rs. 61500) a day in Iraq according to press reports. Pakistan’s economic and human losses are far more than anyone else. What for?
- Surely US know that British couldn’t de-Islamise India in 200 years and they cannot do either, but it is a good exercise for shrinking brain Pakistani leaders and war profiteering mafia in the US? How can one ignore 650 million Indian, Bangladeshi and Pakistani Muslims and their potential? One must know that Islam does not require defending?
US Defence contractors prolonging War in Afghanistan
Without going much into US history, it is important to understand that US economy and society is founded on the blood and sweat of millions of African slaves and bodies of indigenous Americans. Those who were running these cartels and slave trade at that time were mostly linked with criminals, ‘transported’ from Europe. They were criminals from street cons to murderers.
When we look at the negotiations and dealings of the US officials and politicians with Pakistani politicians, it clearly sounds like ‘big cons’ are dealing with the small street thieves who are not only supposed to earn their living but also give share to the big cons?
I commented on BBC TV on Tuesday, 8th January 2008, “many analysts agree that Pakistan don’t need enemy if it has a friend like US keeping in view the policy of betrayal, selfishness and leaving in lurch. “People of Pakistan are asking the way its nuclear program is being targeted in the US and West, one wonders if the friends of Pakistan are part of the problem or solution?”
Indian Game in Afghanistan and Iran
On Friday 15 February 2018, Iran handed over control of Port of Chabhar to India and given full access to Afghanistan. The Iranian President did not mention Kashmir and human rights violations by India in his speech, but he did mention about Palestine and atrocities by Israel. That is a total failure Pakistan’s foreign policy and Nawaz regime played a major role in this because he was also the foreign minister for four years. He was doing three jobs, prime minister, foreign minister of Pakistan and working full time for a company in Dubai.
People in the know are very well aware with the Indian game in Afghanistan; one cannot be a partner, a friend and an enemy at the same time? Yes, it is important that one should have friendly terms with all the neighbours but at what cost? One wonders if friends of Pakistan are part of the problems or part of the solution.
US policy of ‘Disposable Diplomacy’ in Pakistan
There is a strong perception in Pakistan that USA have continuously followed the policy of Disposables Diplomacy by eliminating its leaders by covert operations with the support of local agents. Fingers are pointed to the US involvements in the ‘Zia ul Haq plane crash and killing of Benazir Bhutto in 2007. They are disposed of like toilet tissue papers.
For General Qamar Bajwa last 12 months were full of surprises and spins by the corrupt mafias which he as ‘gentlemen’ is not used to deal with. However, there is an opportunity also to see the real colours of so called ‘lawyers mafia’, bent and corrupt judges who really played with the national security. Power of mafia groups who can kill a customs inspector for arresting Ayan Ali with $ USD ½ million at the airport and kill a lawyer fighting against Faryal Talpur and great escape of ‘sick’ Nawaz Sharif to London now partying.
I am hoping that he will go back to the drawing board and activate as well as create new directorates to deal with mafias, white collar criminals, financial terrorists, money launders and their protectors in the judicial system. Starting with the vetting and security clearances of the judges, civil servants, politicians and parliamentarians at the highest level. There are enough officers retiring every year to induct into new national security directorates and may be allocate 1% of the forces for this program as they raised CPEC protection force. There are some bright experts in this area who can assist the national cause and war against mafias.
