By Dr Shahid Qureshi: –
When Pakistan was being ‘gang raped’ by politicians, businessmen and bureaucracy, media was part of it. No? It all happened in front of these philosophers and anchors who sit on TV channels at prime time to lecture people every day.
Pakistan does not have a single international standard TV channel to date in English, Arabic, or Spanish languages? A small sectarian minority of 3% has taken over all the media groups by design in the disguise of liberalism and politics of Left. This is all fake as lying and deception is part of the religious ritual. Religious mullah’s networks are running the narrative and paying off journalists and anchors who are working ‘free of cost’ in various media groups until they become famous and earn living.
No country allows any foreign country to hire media groups and journalists to fight their media war within expect Pakistan where media groups taking money from Iran, India and USA. Shamelessly Pakistan anchors fight neighboring country’s corner and defend the killings of 14 Pakistani soldiers in Baluchistan few days ago as collateral. Majority of the India-Iran reporters offer free services to media groups in Pakistan, UK, USA, Europe and rest.
The media groups quite stupidly accept the ‘free services’ are not so free but a national security matter where professional agents are given access to information and personalities. The launching of woman in this area is very common and when these women run the enemy narratives it is late for the agencies to do damage control. I would suggest minority should not ‘overdo it’ and behave like a mafia as it will be a dangerous trend’.
No one is talking about the direct and indirect funding of foreign agencies in Pakistani media. For Pakistani security establishment that seems to be Ok? As their number one problem are madrassas and uneducated Mullahs. That is good misdirection to the mafia growth, money laundering and terrorist funding by the banks who are directly involved in running doggy bank accounts or running models like Ayan Ali for money laundering.
Apart from Billions state and foreign funding into private media it has failed to make even one international standard TV news channel like Turkish TRT, Chinese CGTN, or USA’s CNN or BBC or Russian RT? That is why Pakistan lost international media war as there was no one to fight its corner. Why?
Pakistani media has received far more direct and indirect foreign funding than all the charitable donations to over 30,000 Madrassas with over 2 million poor and needy students. In past 17 years the corrupt Bureaucracy of Pakistan has betrayed its people (a) underfunded education (b) Ghost Schools fraud (c) clouding with private schools’ owners and destroyed the state schools and education.
They misdirected people of Pakistan and world with the narrative that Pakistan’s number one problem are Madrassas. Well that is not the case as Pakistan’s number one problem is the corrupt police and dishonest bureaucracy. Pakistan army lost 16000 soldiers and 70000 civilians not because of Madrassas but because of total betrayal and corruption of police, bureaucracy and media.
Media Funding by foreign agencies should also stop as it is more damaging to the state of Pakistan both economically and ideologically. The mushrooming of TV channels and hyper and untrained media staff are more problematic than any solutions. They are shaping and promoting foreign agenda.
Few days ago media reported that: “Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced launching a massive crackdown on money laundering, saying that a law to this effect is being prepared.
“(As much as) Rs 10 billion is being reportedly laundered annually,” he said, adding that the government was actively working on multi-pronged initiatives — including wooing friendly countries (to help Pakistan curb money laundering) and persuading overseas Pakistanis to send remittances through banking channels, instead of illegal means such as hawala and hundi — to keep the dollar’s flight in check.”
Finally, the over 4500 dual national civil servants in police, intelligence agencies and other departments are damaging more to Pakistan than some Madrassas. The very existence of the madrassas is a proof of the total failure of the state school education system and corruption by bureaucracy who ran Ghost Schools and over 85000 Ghost employees. That is the root cause of increase in 16000 military deaths and over 70000 civilian killings in so called war on terror as while army was fighting these civil servants were supporting land mafias and terrorist finance rings. It is time to root off these evil cancers otherwise no change will come in the system.
Time to fight war against corruption as it is weapon of war. Indian Prime Minister Modi said in a political gathering: ‘I will make Pakistan beg around the world’.
