Pakistan condemns attack on Saudi Embassy in Tehran

(London Post)  Pakistan on Monday condemned attack on Saudi Embassy in Tehran, expressing concerns over escalation of tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran.

Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman, Qazi M. Khalilullah in a statement in federal capital Islamabad said that attack on Saudi Embassy in Tehran is unfortunate and condemnable.
Pakistan expressed grave concern over escalation of tension between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Pakistan wants peaceful solution of problems and terrorist forces can take advantage from tension within Muslim Ummah, the spokesperson added.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal in a statement during National Assembly session on Monday said that Pakistan is fully alive to the happenings in the Middle East and assured the members that Pakistan will play a positive role in defusing tensions between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
It has been the policy of the government to promote unity and solidarity amongst the Muslim Ummah, he added. (end) sbk.sd – KUNA
