National Security Adviser appointment: Sir Mark Lyall-Grant

(London Post Report) The Prime Minister has confirmed the appointment of Sir Mark Lyall-Grant as his National Security Adviser. The Prime Minister is pleased to confirm the appointment of Sir Mark Lyall-Grant as his National Security Adviser. Sir Mark will take over the role from Sir Kim Darroch in early September.

Sir Kim Darroch will be moving on to another senior diplomatic post in due course.

After studying law at Cambridge and qualifying as a Barrister at Middle Temple in London, Ambassador Mark Lyall Grant decided against a career in the legal profession and joined the FCO in 1980.
