(News Report): – “I financed the 2005 revolution in Kyrgyzstan”, claimed Mukthar Ablyazov former exiled banker of Kazakhstan. According to news report aired on 1 KG TV Chanel of Kyrgyzstan on 15 December 2016.
He reportedly made this claim in his interview with the French newspaper Libercion. He said: ‘start of democratic process in the former soviet republic was essential for him’.
Mr Ablyazov served in the Kazakhstan’s government at various levels. In 2009 Kazakhstan Government filed a case again him and sought extradition from France.
The French Government turned down the extradition request from both Russia and Kazakhstan accepting his claim that cases against him are politically motivated. He was arrested by the French and later released.
Cases of fraud, forgery and corruption were registered against fugitive banker in Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine.
