Indo-Iran lobby Targeting Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar?

By Dr Shahid Qureshi :-

“You are direct in your approach and writings” said to me a diplomat in London. I replied to him that: “a good friend always give good advice to save from harm, and a good doctor always do correct diagnosis of the disease and honest with the patient about treatment”.

I told him that: ‘It seems that only performing and pro Pakistan interior minister is in the firing line of Zaradri’s People’s Party, Shia terrorist groups and lobby in the media”.

It seems like a secret underground government is operating and feeding its narratives on various issues, be it General Raheel Sharif appointment as head of Muslim Countries Military Alliance, China Pakistan Economic Corridor or Pakistan’s relationship with Saudi Arabia. Indo-Iran lobby is haunting Pakistani interior minister Chaudhry Nisar like wolves and no one seems to be taking any notice?

Pakistani society is very tolerant and not sectarian until after the Iranian Revolution when Iran started the policy if exporting the revolution to Muslim countries. There is overwhelming evidence that pro-Iran Shia lobby is gone to the extent that it has damaged Pakistan’s interests to protect Iranian interests and agenda.

Anyone who question the activities of this lobby in the country, is labelled as sectarian, it is as similar if any one criticise Israel, is called anti-Semitic in the US and western world. There are various groups operating in the disguise of civil society, NGOs, and other liberal groups run mostly by middle aged upper class men and women. The funny thing is that these groups have multiple husbands of various nationalities and they are taking money from all of them. In real world, a western country cannot justify its tax payers that they are supporting groups in Pakistan who are also on the Iranian books?

But in Pakistan’s case they take an exception. I am not going to name the individuals here but we know who they are. Few months ago after the arrest and closure of Iran led Shia terrorist training camps in Para Chanar – Kuram Agency, a group called in strike in Gilgit to close down China – Pakistan road link and also protested in Islamabad. That served both Iranian and Indian agenda but Pakistani agencies per-emptied and acted on time and strike was called off.

Pakistan cannot afford this kind of sectarian blackmail from a tiny less than 3% which has access to high places both nationally and internationally. They should not take kindness as weakness? A senior security analyst on international issues disclosed to me that: “during the Benazir Bhutto’s tenure a Shia religious politician and formerly owner of a newspaper now part of Tahir ul Qadri’s party wanted to be appointed as ambassador to Iran. To our surprise when his credentials were sent to Iran for the appointment. The Iranian Government refused to take him as ambassador by saying he is an American agent”. Iranians are smart and don’t just buy anything come to them even with Shia tags.

However, his planted seeds are flourishing trees in Pakistan be it Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed or Ambassador to UN Dr. Maleeha Lodhi and rest. The amount of freedom minorities enjoys in Pakistan no other country can imagine including neighbours. That is why former Pakistani foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri said to the Iranian foreign minister that: “Pakistani Shias are not like Sunnis in Iran and here is my Shia chief of staff and now you show me an Iranian Sunni of the same rank”.

Coming to the demonising of Pakistani interior minister Chaudhry Nisar as why he met someone Sunni banned outfit. The proof of this systemic demonization is that during his UK visit an unpaid TV reporter of the same sect asked the minister why he allowed the banned (Sunni) outfit have a political meeting. The short answer is it was not banned outfit and they sought. permission from the government and it was a peaceful meeting. Few hours later Syeda Shala Raza deputy speaker Sindh Assembly was asking the same question in a TV show.

Now for the record it was PPP who leader Murtaza Bhutto hijacked Pakistani airline plane (PIA) and killed Pakistani Army officer on board. Bhuttos were involved in terrorism, bombings, assassinations and murders in Pakistan. Shala Raza should look in to her own back yard before pointing fingers at others. Fatima Bhutto has openly accused her aunt Benazir Bhutto and her uncle Asif Zaradri for the assassination of her father Murtaza Bhutto. Asif Zardari as president and PPPP leaders have been in close contact with banned outfits according to record at the President House.

Ch. Nisar Khan has complete understanding of the Sectarian issues – only if Shia run media and some elements in the politics stop over doing things. The arrest of over 470 agents of (RAW’s) Kulbhushan network mostly Shia terrorist groups and Iranian lead training camps in Para Chanar – Kuram Agency cannot be ignored? Over 6000 Pakistani Shias have gone to Syria via Iran to fight for Asad regime some dead are buried in Iran and families in Pakistan getting nationality and pensions.

Iran top general said: we’ve trained 200,000 fighters in Iraq, Syria and Yemen’, reported Al-Arabiya TV on Wednesday, 13 January 2016. The Iranian Revolutionary Guards Commander, Mohammad Ali Jafari, acknowledged training thousands of those whom he called the armed revolutionary generation in the countries of the region, according to what was quoted by the Fars news agency. Jafari said at the funeral of Hamid Reza Asadullah, a leader in the Revolutionary Guards who was killed in Syria, that the positive outcome of the developments and events in the region is the training of about two hundred thousand armed young troops in the region’s countries.

The recent recovery of hand grenades from house demolished by its owners bombs in Mohala Shian – Mochigate, Lahore and recovery of big arms storage from Shia Imambara in Kohat is small matter for you? The strategy of using Security Forces to eliminate sectarian enemies is going on for some times be it extra judicial killing of Malik Ishaq or others. Ch. Nisar Khan and agencies are still gentle with Indo-Iran agents having free ride in Pakistan. You cannot imagine this in Iran?

One must understand Pakistan economic and strategic interests:

  1. Over 2 million Pakistanis are working in Saudi Arabia and about 3 million in Sunni countries in Gulf and UAE and only about 25000 in Iran.
  2. Pakistani economic and strategic interests are predominantly in the Sunni world which cannot be ignored due to sectarian policies of Iran?
  3. Iran have signed nuclear deal with the US and others and have restored diplomatic relations with UK. Over $30 billion India-Iran military and civil cooperation deal is obviously against Pakistan’s interests.
  4. Indian infiltration and sponsoring of terrorism from Iran and Afghanistan cannot be ignored. Iranians have contracted Indians to build “Port of Chabhar”, and also provided access to Indians from Iran to build roads and other projects in Afghanistan.
  5. If Indians and others successfully sabotage the Pak-China corridor project Iranian port will be direct beneficiary. On the other hand, Pakistan army chief has “warned all and sundry that Pak-China project will be completed at all cost”.
  6. In the current situation, Government of Pakistan and especially General Qamar Bajwa must review and made his security policy of Zero Tolerance and no compromise on Pakistan’s national interests when it comes to the activities of the politicians and officials becoming spokesperson of other countries.

Pakistan must start oil and gas exploring in whole Baluchistan where silent moratorium was placed by some pro Iran elements within establishment. Pakistan did not do meaningful oil and gas exploring in Baluchistan border areas with Iran since 1947?
