The infiltration of Indian agents in Pakistani media is biting back and hurting the national security. At a time when millions of Kashmiris are on the streets protesting the Indian occupation, burying their dead after the brutal killing of a young Kashmiri freedom fighter Burhan Wani on 8th July 2016, Pakistani cinema houses are celebrating the success of Indian films.
I don’t think Pakistani officials be in the security or in bureaucracy have any idea about the risks and threats Indian infiltrated media is posing to Pakistan? There complicity is criminally negligent in all aspects. In past 40 years Indians have invested in ‘Sufis’ and ‘Shias’ following the US policy introduced by Cheryl Bernard wife of Zalmay Khalilzad, Afghan born former US Ambassador to Afghanistan. For that very reason, a Sufi Center was established in Delhi with full support of an Indian-US citizen psychologist and an Indian Shia film maker.
The over flow and inflow of Indian money in Pakistani media is enormous which can be seen in the contents and editorial lines. That cannot be possible without the complicity of politicians and top men in the Pakistani governments including Pervez Musharraf, Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari. Indians are successful in their strategy of hiring agents in Pakistani media for example they are choosing people who are supposed to be close USA or West. The reason for that is because if Pakistani half asleep security say anything to these media persons they can go into the shelter of US and West but do work for Indian objectives at the same time. One can narrate dozens of these examples starting from Najam Sethi and his Shia wife to Imtiaz Alam and many others.
Pakistan High commission in London is infested with these so called Indian planted journalists and media persons. Obviously they are on the media list and are invited by them. The level of security and scrutiny of these Indian journalists is almost zero. I am personal witness to an incident when a London based Prime TV anchor bring in an Indian as a cameraman into the sensitive Kashmiri meeting in the Parliament where former prime minister of Kashmir was addressing. There was another occasion when a so called journalist bring in an Indian photographer with close links to RAW at the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s dinner. Due to the religious inclinations the photographer was manage to chip in with the Pakistani High Commissioner calling him ‘uncle’. Some of these people are providing live reports to their Indian handlers.
The fundamental question is one asks is if press office at the Pakistani High Commission in London is complicit in these activities? In any institution officials ask for proper introduction a CV and a letter of appointment from the organization. In Pakistani media in London no such formality is required as anyone can hold a TV mic and stand in front of the top officials including Prime Minister without any security clearance or checks.
As in case of RAW agent Kulbhushan Yadav who ran his network in Iran and Pakistan. He pretended to be a Shia while in Iran with the alias Hussein Mubarak Patel, as written on his Indian passport.
Indian Agency RAW’s policy of using ‘Shias and Sufis’ is in full swing in UK based Pakistani media. It is not a mere co-incident that all reporters of main Pakistan media channels in UK are Shias? This is not a sectarian but a serious security matter, and must be dealt forthwith.
One of the reasons it has reached up to this level is that Pakistani media is not being paid for their work, TV channels and media organizations in Pakistan are looking for anyone who agreed to do the labor without being paid. That is an opportunity for the enemies to pay off and plant its agents in Pakistani media.
Some religious organizations are also behind paying them via third parties or directly some times. So much so the biggest media groups workers are taking housing and other benefits from the government as it is very difficult to survive in a city like London with family and kids but the media group is not ready to share the profits with the workers.
The way to deal with this important security issue is that Press Office at the Pakistan High Commission in London should contact the media organization’s Head office in Pakistan for complete CV and clearance from the security before letting them in the official events. When we go to the G8 or G20 or any other international conference or event details of journalists attending are shared with all security agencies of the concerned countries before issuing media accreditation as standard procedure.
A senior journalist told me that an official at Pakistan High Commission said that: the reason we let these cowboy journalists in the program is because if we don’t they run campaign against us on social media and Facebook’. Well if that is the case they should seek support from the real journalists and they can be dealt with but that is not a valid excuse as it is matter of national security.
