(By Shahid Qureshi – London Post) On August 13, 2015 Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan had a meeting with the delegation of Asian Development Bank headed by the Vice-President of the bank, Mr. Wencai Zhang, who arrived to Turkmenistan on a working visit. During the meeting the sides held comprehensive exchange of views on current state and prospects of the development of the cooperation between Turkmenistan and ADB. Also opportunities of expanding the partnership interaction, particularly in the energy, industry, trade and transport spheres had been discussed.
Great attention was paid to the issues of strengthening the ties in entrepreneurship and banking sectors. During the meeting the parties paid attention to the development of cooperation within the framework of Central Asian Regional Economic Cooperation program (CAREC). Delegation of Asian Development Bank stressed their readiness for further joint work within the framework of implemented projects and programs of ADB and Turkmenistan as well as expressed satisfaction with the effectiveness of partnership.
